York's May Multi Gun Match Sponsored by Magnum Research

We will be hosting this month's Multi Gun Match sponsored by Magnum Research on May 8th. It will be 5-6 stages depending on participation and all 3 guns will be used.  We will be using slugs, rifle and shotgun slings, this match, and we do expect to use most of, if not all, of the 200 yards available on the rifle range.  The match fee will be $25 -$30 depending on the number of stages. 

The match day schedule is as follows: 

7:00 finish set up (help is always appreciated) 

8:00 registration begins 

8:30 registration ends (anyone arriving after 8:30 is a spectator) 

8:45 mandatory match briefing 

9:00 shooting begins 

The divisions are as follows:

3 Gun Tac Ops 

3 Gun Limited

3 Gun Open                                  

2 Gun Pistol/Rifle           

2 Gun Pistol/PCC           Not point series eligible

The link to practiscore is https://www.practiscore.com/york-s-may-multi-gun-match-sponsored-by-magnum-research/register.  Don't take too long to sign up.  We do have a maximum number of shooters we will take for each of our matches and we do expect the matches to fill quickly.  Conversely, don't sign up if you don't intend to shoot, and if something comes up and you're not going to make it please let us know as soon as possible.  The Thursday before the match at midnight is the cut off for backing out without penalty.  People who persist in not showing up after signing up will not be invited back.  We want to benefit as many shooters as possible this season.

Back Pit Egg Shoot Sunday, May 1st

On Sunday, May 1st we will be having a back pits egg shoot at 1:00 pm. 

- This is a 22lr only shoot where you will shoot at egg sized and shaped steel targets with either a rifle 10, 15, 20 and 25 yards, or a pistol at 7, 9, 11, and 13 yards.

- There will be 10 eggs at each distance and you get 10 rounds to hit them with. 

- This is untimed and shot from the standing unsupported position. The entry fee is $20 for adults, $5 for under 18. 

- You may shoot twice if you want to shoot both rifle and pistol or 2 different divisions. (for two entry fees of course) 

- Discounts will apply to pistol committee members who have earned them. 

- There are no payouts for this match but we do keep score. 

 Divisions are: 

- Red dot rifle 

- Iron sighted rifle 

- Magnified scope rifle 

- Red dot pistol 

- Iron sighted pistol 

- Magnified scope pistol 

Pre-regsistration is required.  To sign up email us at yorksignup@gmail.com with your name, division(s) and squad requests. 

 On Sunday the schedule works like this: 

- 12:00 if you want to help set up 

- 12:30 at the latest to pay 

- 12:45 for match briefing 

- 1:00 we're shooting 

 We should be done by 3:00 PM or so 

No magnums or hyper velocity. Think 1300 fps max.

 I’m canceling plates this evening due to high winds combined with the lower temps. We’ll be back at it next week. The racks are setup in pit 7 if anyone wants to practice. See you all next Tuesday.
