Egg Shoot Saturday, November 2nd

On Saturday, November 2nd we will host a back pits Egg Shoot.

This is a 22lr only shoot where you will shoot at egg sized and shaped steel targets with either a rifle 10, 15, 20 and 25 yards, or a pistol at 7, 9, 11, and 13 yards.  There will be 10 eggs at each distance and you get 10 rounds to hit them with.  This is untimed and shot from the standing unsupported position.

The entry fee is $20 for adults, $5 for under 18.  You may shoot twice if you want to shoot both rifle and pistol or 2 different divisions. (for two entry fees of course)  Discounts will apply to pistol committee members who have earned them.  There are no payouts for this match but we do keep score.

Divisions are:
- Scoped rifle
- Iron sighted rifle
- Scoped pistol
- Iron sighted pistol

To sign up email us at yorksignup@gmail.com with your name, division(s) and squad requests.

On Saturday the schedule works like this:
- 8:15 if you want to help set up
- 8:30 at the latest to pay
- 8:45 for match briefing
- 9:00 we're shooting

We're usually done these things by 11:30 or so.

No magnums or hyper velocity.  Think 1300 fps max.

October FunShoot

EDIT! The question was asked. The answer is:

YES! SHOTGUN SLUGS ON PUMPKINS! YEAAAAAHHH!

This Saturday, October 26th,  we will be hosting our monthly FunShoot.

We will present you with 6-7 stages of 20-25 falling steel targets each.

October means harvest time, which means PUMPKINS!!!! My regulars will understand. You newbies, you will be pleasantly pleased.

Setup will be this Friday (the 25th) at 5pm. The quality of the event depends on setup turnout.

Fee will be $20 for adults and $5 for anyone under 18.
Signup by 8:15ish, safety brief at 8:45ish, shooting at 9ish.

Firearm choice will be standard pistol caliber handgun, standard pistol caliber carbine, or shotgun (7 1/2 lead shot or smaller). You may bring all 3 types to the shoot, and you can change the choice of guns on different stages, but only two guns max per stage.
Yes, .22LR (not magnums) and  .300 BO subsonic are acceptable.

York is a cold range. Unloaded firearms are carried around the range holstered, boxed, bagged, slung, carted or in a sock. Long guns require a chamber flag, and they will be for sale.

Bring family and friends, we are very new shooter and kid friendly. Spectators are welcome!

Everyone on the range MUST WEAR EYE PROTECTION WITH SIDE SHIELDS. We will be shooting steel, and it creates little flying bits of metal that can hit you on occasion.
