June FunShoot is a go!!!!!

Thank you so much to those of you who responded to my call. We had a really small but motivated crew this morning, a really smaller crew for this Friday morning, and an adequate crew for Friday at 5pm. The shoot goes on, sooooo.....

This Saturday, June 22nd  we will be hosting our monthly FunShoot.
We will present you with 6 stages of 20-30 falling steel targets each.
Setup will be this Friday (the 21st) at 5pm. Remember, the quality of the event depends on setup turnout.

Fee will be $20 for adults, $5 for anyone under 18.
Signup by 8:15, shooting at 9ish.

Boilerplate follows:

Firearm choice will be standard pistol caliber handgun, standard pistol caliber carbine, or shotgun (7 1/2 lead shot or smaller). You may bring all 3 types to the shoot, and you can change the choice of guns on different stages, but only two guns max per stage.
Yes, .22's and  .300 BO subsonic are acceptable.

York is a cold range. Unloaded firearms are carried around the range holstered, boxed, bagged, slung, carted or in a sock. Long guns require a chamber flag, and they will be for sale.

Bring family and friends, we are very new shooter and kid friendly. Spectators are welcome!

Everyone on the range MUST WEAR EYE PROTECTION WITH SIDE SHIELDS. We will be shooting steel, and it creates little flying bits of metal that can hit you on occasion. There will be eye protection for sale.

cheers

June FunShoot

This coming Saturday, June 22nd, we will hopefully be hosting our monthly FunShoot.

This month we have a unique problem. Due to the event schedule this month, we have a much larger than normal amount of work to do to put this on the ground, and therefore, I need more than my usual 4 guys for setup.
I need commitments by a significant number of folks, either by commenting on this blog, or email to  ghswope@gmail.com by 6pm Wednesday evening for our setup at 5pm this Friday the 21st, or the FunShoot will be canceled.
With enough help, it should take an hour or so, match discounts will be given to all who help out.

Wednesday at 9pm, I will post the status.

MAMGC stages

Stages are posted on our facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/Mid-Atlantic-Multi-Gun-Championship

Sign in each day will be from 8:00 am to 8:30 am. You'll get your t-shirts and lunch tickets there. The match briefing will be at 8:45 am. We hope to be shooting around 9:00 am each morning. Our ROs are top rate and squads are no larger than 13 on Saturday and 11 on Sunday. We hope to be done by 4:00 pm each day.
Food will be available from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm each day and we usually don't take a formal lunch break. Eat when it's convenient or rotate out of your squad when it works for you. Lunch is included with your paid entry, and there is more food and drink available for everyone.
Please watch your speed on our driveway. The speed limit is 10 mph and speeding is a 20 second procedural.
Please do your part to paste targets and set steel. Be ready to go when it's your turn to shoot.
This is a lost brass match.
You can change your percentage (the 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100% thing) up until the first shot is fired the day you shoot. Do it at sign in if you like. However, because of this we will not post scores Saturday evening. We will post them to practiscore Sunday afternoon. We always use the word York in our matches, so that makes it easy to search.
If you have any questions about which day you're shooting or percentage or anything don't hesitate to email me at pauln1313@gmail(dot)com
Thank you for shooting with us. We have already set up some of the stages and it looks fun. We hope you enjoy it.
