3 man 3 gun

On Saturday, July 31st York is planning on holding a special match not previously on the schedule. We will be hosting a 3 man 3 gun team match. If you've never shot one of these before it is a riot. If you have, you know it is a match not to be missed.

We're adding a couple new twists this year:

1. Two shotguns will be used on at least one stage. In years past we only required one shotgunner per team, but we have had requests for more scattergun action, and we agree.

2. We are requiring teams to sign up in advance, by completing the application at this link and returning it and the funds as designated on the entry form. There will be no exceptions, and the 1st 49 received are in.

3. Some stages will require teams to draw cards before the walk-through to see which member will shoot each gun on the stage. This adds an element of luck, and makes things more interesting, as well as ends the era of the specialists. Now every member of your team has to be ready to step up to any challenge. You may draw your optimal order or you may not.

Remember this match has no payout of any kind. You will get your money's worth, but only because it is so fun. We do results, but only for bragging rights.

Do not hesitate to get your app in the mail. We will go by postmark to determine the first 49 apps received.

If you want to shoot and need help finding a teamate or two email me and I'll try to match you up with some.

DVC, Howard

Here we go again

This Saturday is the June (26th) funshoot, Same fun time, same fun place.
I'm gonna tweak things a little this month, just to keep it interesting with the introduction of a new stage and target, shooter inspired. The wicked wheel will be back, as will our usual friends. Round count will be just under 100. Pistol caliber carbines (yes .22Lr too) are now standard fare, bring 'em whenever you want.

As always, please visit the following links for info and reminders, and of course, shoot me an email at iwlafunshoot1@comcast.net with any questions or comments.

Be sure to visit the Gunshow at the York fairgrounds afterwards, and be a positive statistic!

See you Saturday!

Missing drill motor

Drill has been found!

A blue RYOBI drill motor and battery went missing at the end of it all on Sunday, I was the last known possessor of said drill motor, and can't find it. It is clearly marked IWLAFS on both the motor and battery. If anyone picked it up, or recalls seeing it, comment here, or drop me a line at iwlfunshoot1@comcast.net.

thanks

Wow, what a match!

I wasn't expecting all that excitement. Rain came down in buckets, a lot of shooters quit, Palms got ruined, people got stressed and confusion ran amok. Still, we got through it. People seemed to have a good time, and we found out who the tough ones were. Seems if you had the fortitude to finish the match you dramtically improved your odds of winning. The results went out Sunday evening via email. If you didn't get them then you're probably not on my mailing list. Please email me at hkbrt@verizon.net and tell me to add you.

Thanks to all the staff who got it done, and the few shooters who stuck it out and helped tear down. We'll do even better next time.

The pistol match will be 130 rounds, and the fee will be $20.

The shotgun match will be 55 rounds and the fee will be $20. You will need 7.5, or 8 shot only. No slugs or buck. No serious shot loads that may damage our targets or target holders. We will recognize Limited(tactical) division as guns with no optics, porting or loading devices as per USPSA rules. Pump, which will be limited to 5 rounds at the start signal. Open per USPSA rules, and OUTLAW Open which is anything goes. No mag limits for you Saiga owners, or guys with extended tubes.

You may use pistol caliber carbines (9mm, 40 or 45 for example) and shoot the pistol match with those. (No 223 or 308 of course).

To sign up email us at yorksignup@gmail.com with your name, USPSA #, whether you are shooting pistol and/or shotgun matches, which time slot(s) you want to shoot and what division you will be shooting with either or both guns. These are 2 seperate matches so you could shoot Open in one and Limited in the other for instance. Also if there is anyone you wish to be squadded with let us know.
