March FunShoot

This SUNDAY, March 31st we will be hosting our monthly FunShoot.  Yes, that is Sunday the 31st. March weather and events played absolute mayhem with our schedule, so there it is.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE BE SLOW ON THE GROUNDS.  SATURDAY IS OPENING DAY FOR TROUT SEASON, AND THE GROUNDS WILL BE COVERED ALL WEEKEND WITH FISHERFOLK, KIDS AND THE OCCASIONAL DOG!

Last month worked so well, we are doing it again (besides, it's still set up). I got a lot of positive feedback so again, there will be no official squadding, just wander around and shoot what you want.

Pit 6: One giant stage with 3 plate racks, and all of the non-falling steel I can find, all in a line at various distances for PSA practice. Then we build a common firing line with tables. Shooters at the common line, to just plink away at will. No official organization. No resets (non falling steel here).
There will be a couple of wandering RO types about to keep tabs on safety.
The safety addition to this, is that I will require chamber flags for pistols on the line. Pistols, and PCC's here, no shotguns.

Pit 5: Man on man, or a big single. Our standard "2 of any 3 guns" rules for this stage will apply.

Pit 4, a classic FunShoot stage with a wheel and some falling stuff.

Pits 7 and 8 are full of water, if I can get them pumped out before setup, we will put stuff there.

Setup will be this Friday (the 29th) at 4pm.

Fee will be $20 for adults, $5 for anyone under 18.

Signup by 8:15, shooting at 9am.

Some Boilerplate follows:

Firearm choice will be standard pistol caliber handgun, standard pistol caliber carbine, or shotgun (7 1/2 lead shot or smaller). You may bring all 3 types (or more) to the shoot, and you can change the choice of guns on different stages, but only two guns max per stage.
Yes, .22's are acceptable.

York is a cold range. Unloaded firearms are carried around the range holstered, boxed, bagged, slung, carted or in a sock. Long guns require a chamber flag, and they will be for sale.

Bring family and friends, we are very new shooter and kid friendly. Spectators are welcome!

Everyone on the range MUST WEAR EYE PROTECTION WITH SIDE SHIELDS. We will be shooting steel, and it creates little flying bits of metal that can hit you on occasion. There will be eye protection for sale.

cheers
