Never forget, first and foremost York Izaak Walton #67 is a conservation organization. Sure we have great ranges and run pretty good matches, but they are in addition to, and in part, to support our conservation efforts. Today in sub-freezing weather almost 2 dozen of us (mostly Pistol Committee too by the way) went on a tour of Barshinger Run to see what we are planning for that section of creek. Stream restoration is a very involved and expensive process but it is part of our core mission. When it has been completed the streams not only look more scenic, but provide better habitat for fish and wildlife, and less sediment washes downstream and into the bay.
