Steel Challenge

First day of Steel Challenge went extremely well. Everybody had a great time and we saw some incredible shooting. This is really fun, and pretty good to watch too. Scores from today should be posted at our website www.yorkiwlaipsc.org momentarily, if they're not already there (Thanks, Kevin) and we'll continue to post daily throughout the end of the match.

We are looking at a full compliment of shooters tomorrow. If you're not busy come give us a hand. We could use a few people on clipboards (or timers). We are a little short staffed but we will endeavor to persevere.

charging 60 bucks and forcing shooter to donate over 200 pieces of starling brass to your juniors is going over the top, nothing in the match application that shooters could not pick up brass. first stee shoot I have attended where this was the policy

York has never allowed brass pickup during matches. For several years we have ran either the Mid-Atlantic Section or the Summer Blast the same weekend and they have always been lost brass matches. The Juniors have many worthwhile programs they support with your "Donated" brass, and showing them that shooters are good people is worth more than a few dollars of brass.

It slows the match when a shooter is more worried about $2-12 worth of brass than painting the steel, loading their mags or just being ready to shoot.

If you can afford the match fee for such a match, the gas to get there, the gear to shoot it, and the ammo for it, but the brass is such a problem email me at hkbrt@verizon.net and I'll mail you some of mine. I'm not sure I have any "starling" brass, but I'll do the best I can.

For the record, anonymous posting is not very honorable. If you want to gripe at least man up.

Calling people "A dick" even done very politly is not nice either.
